Rolex to Continue Being Alzeheirmer's Research Sponsor
Based in orange county California, IceLink was able to set its international headquarters in the heart of mechanical wonders, Geneva, which is also known as the capital of watch*** industry.Besides this important strategic move, IceLink will receive help from Pulp.Alibi, a global communication agency, which will help the Californian brand to create itself on an international scale. Both Zenith Swiss Watch Manufacture and the rock star of The Police, Andy Summers, were the main characters to lunch one of New York's most exciting and artistic evenings.Throughout the invitation-only VIP reception, various musicians, fans, artists and friends of the star and the watchmaker admired behind the scenes series of photos performed in black and white that highlight the early days of the rock band. The exhibition's special piece of art is the picture taken by Andy Summers exclusively for Zenith. The rock star shot the company's Defy Classic Open watch. The most remarkable spot of the evening occurred when the president of Zenith North America, Paul Ziff, presented a Zenith timepiece to Andy Summers. It's interesting to note that IceLink has a great experience in watchmaing, which comes from 25 years of the brand's activity within the field of jewelry. The watch focuses on the fact that its creator is more passionate about diamonds and top materials, including pink and grey gold. All the best was added by Andy Sogoyan in his 6Timezone, and no wonder. If you want to work in the field of Swiss-watch***, you have got to set the most stringent standards for yourself. This exclusive watch is available in two sizes.

It is worth mentioning that the brand has successfully entered the Chinese market in 2003 and with its new shop Girard-Perregaux looks forward to expand its activity in China. The boutique itself is symbolic. The Beijing shop is the third after Gstaad in Switzerland and Mumbai in India. The company is careful in choosing its distribution network, which should illustrate the exclusivity of Girard-Perregaux's prestigious collections. The company thus has opened its third boutique dedicated exclusively to the brand's products outside Switzerland. The opening took place on October 17 and the Swiss watchmaker invited one hundred journalists to join the Grand Opening of the shop.At the press conference the President of Girard-Perregaux, Mr. Luigi Macaluso, outlined the fact that he was proud to lead the inauguration of the boutique. Through this opening the brand illustrates the importance of its cooperation with Chinese partners. These, by the way, were included in the main concept of the brand's first Boutique of Gstaad.A warm atmosphere awaited the journalists who were welcomed by Mr. Luigi Macaluso along with Girard-Perregaux's partners in China, including CEO of FJ Benjamin, Mr. Nash Benjamin and Harmony Group. The boutique's inside outlines the spirit of the genuine Manufacture. Girard-Perregaux paid special attention to the design, which included formal simplicity and modern materials.

Some watch admirers are sure that all well known companies are companies? with long history, however, this is wrong as Franck Muller being well known in all over the world is a watch manufacture that does not have a very long history. Franck Muller founded his company in 1991 and from the very start it was understood that the brand will enjoy enormous success in the world of watch manufacturing. Franck Muller was the talented craftsman who founded the brand. Motherland of Franck Muller is Switzerland - the area where the world's greatest wristwatches are produced. From the very youth Franck Muller was interested in watches. The world of watch manufacturing knew Frank Muller long before his company produced the first wristwatch. Customers have an opportunity to select between colors of the dial: orange, black or white. The company decided to use a historic classic design of the dials, having the minute and hour hands covered with blue Super Luminova. In addition the seconds hand is luminous as well.It is interesting to note that the first movement of the brand was developed more than half a century ago, in 1956. The movement of Archimede is its follower and was created throughout the period between 1961 and 1969.

They were able to connect the atomic clock to existing clocks with the help of a special fiber optic link, which is extremely important in case the clock is going to be used as the timekeeping standard.According to Daily Telegraph, because strontium atoms absorb higher frequency light than previous clocks, which are based on longer microwaves, such optical clocks register shorter as thus more accurate "ticks," and namely 430 trillion per second. Despite of that woman herself is a rare bird in the horology community. And this fact only does credit to Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, who with the help of her female intuition and entrepreneurial talent promotes ladies' watch collections so that they enjoy high demand. And this is not surprising, because for the majority of the men-managers it is rather hard to understand the exact demands that women usually make on ladies' timepieces, so that this product family slips their attention.Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele helped her brother with the creation of men's timepieces. She put her hand to the appearance of three watch models for men, by offering the watches' design. Firstly she designed Chopard Mille Miglia Tycoon men's model, which was presented in 2005. It was created in distinctively masculine style as a big-sized square-shaped watch. The other models proposed by Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele are Prince Charles and Elton John.Family business is the way to trust your partner, so Caroline's brother can fully trusts his sister's taste and professional skills.

The New Rolex GMT Master II
Rolex introduced the very first waterproof watch in 1929 called the Oyster. Rolex started development on the Submariner in 1952, and the first model was introduced in 1953. While the Submariner was being developed, a prototype was subjected to 132 dives up to depths of 60 meters over 5 months, and came through it all perfectly. The Submariner was the first watch in the world to have a rotating bezel. The luminous *** at the 12 o'clock position was initially intended to be red, however red is the first wavelength to be lost underwater, so testers asked that it be made white instead. The codename for the Submariner while under development was Frogman. Other names that were considered were the Deep-Sea Special (isn't that a dish at Red Lobster?) and the Nautilus. Initially waterproof to 100 meters, the depth rating was increased to 200 meters in 1954, then 300 meters in 1979. The first Submariner with a date complication was launched in 1969, along with the first gold model. In 1979, the plexiglas crystal was replaced with the nearly scratch-proof synthetic sapphire crystal still used today. In 2003, Rolex released the 50-year commemorative model with a unique green bezel and a redesigned dial.I should note that the change in the anniversary model's dial is not to be taken lightly as Rolex puts an immense amount of consideration into their designs (which is why they are so classic and widely replicated). The anniversary Submariner has what is referred to as the maxi-dial which means that the hour markers are larger, and the minute hand is slightly wider (*** it more visible, especially in the dark since it holds more luminescent paint).

View the Seiko SKA367 photo gallery. One of the things I enjoy about wearing Seikos is that there's so much to discover post-purchase. Often, a watch will have a coherent style that you find you enjoy long after it originally caught your eye. Let's take a closer look at a mid-line Seiko Diver to see what I mean.Meet the Seiko SKA367, a yellow-faced Kinetic quartz dive watch with a typical complement of features:Waterproof to 200m (660ft).Stainless steel case with Hardlex mineral crystal.Quick-set and quick-change date window at 3 o'clock.Power reserve button to check battery level.Six month power reserve if not worn, with low-battery warning.Screwdown crown and caseback.48mm wide by 15mm high.Stainless steel bracelet with dive extension (also available with a rubber strap). The only real disadvantage is that the backlight is slightlymore difficult to activate in the corner, and you have one less buttonto use to interact with what amounts to a pretty complicated digital watch. Givenmy choice, I would rather see it in it's familiar G-Shock position on the band, freeing up the top right button for more important functions. The intensity of the backlight is sufficient. It can be set to active for eithertwo or three seconds, depending on how stingy you are with your battery. It can alsobe configured to auto-illuminate when the solar sensors in the watch detect thatit is too dark for you to see the face, and when it is tilted toward your face (about40 degrees).
Introduction to Sinn: a Convergence of Watch*** and Engineering
If you look a bit closer, you'll see a clear motif in the finishes of the steel: flat su***ces have a brushed finish, and bevels are mirror polished. The bracelet follows this same pattern which makes it both interesting and understated. The font and printing on the bezel are also excellent and easy to read. Unlike most other bezels, every minute is marked, *** for easy and accurate timing — a very impressive and welcomed detail. There's a second motif of circular detail, as well: the yellow ring on the crown, the subtle reflective circles of metal around the hour markers, the circle of luminescent paint on the hour hand, the round covers on the lugs. The weight feels just right to counterbalance the mass of the watch. The movement is Kinetic quartz which means there's a rotor and generator inside the case. When you move your wrist, the rotor spins and a small voltage is generated that gets stored in a rechargeable battery. Unlike the new Seiko Velatura, you can't handwind the SKA367, but it's efficient enough to not be a drawback. The SKA367 uses the 5M62 movement which has a six-month power reserve, low battery warning, and a nifty button at the 2 o'clock position that temporarily re-purposes the second hand to show you the amount of charge currently in the battery. As with most quartz movements, it's accurate to ±15 seconds per month. As you can tell, I very much like this watch.

And considering the fact that the GW-400J doesn'thave a lot of power or space to work with, I think it performs admirably, thoughnot was well as the much larger and power hungry vibrating TissotHigh-T.I like the fact that the thermometer can be used for measuring both airand water temperature, although I really wish I could toggle it from Celsiusto Fahrenheit. Admittedly, I can't really blame the watch or Casio for thissince it was never meant for an American audience, however one thing I can blamethe watch for is the fact that you don't seem to be able to reset the thermometerto its factory calibration. I was always able to feel the alarm, but the hourly timesignal vibration only grabbed my attention less than half the time. And if you wereplanning on using the vibrating alarm as a way to wake yourself up in the morning whileallowing your partner to sleep in, you will need to be one incredibly light sleeper.I think the GW-400J generally serves the purpose for which it was intended, however, which is the ability to keep track of time, events, and intervals while participatingin water sports when wind and waves would keep you from hearing a faint high-pitchedbeep. The x-axis representstime over a 24-hour period, and the y-axis represents the height of the tide. The tide indicator function of the Casio GW-400J is kind of cool. Since I can'tread the instructions, and I don't have any other watches with tide graphs, I don'tknow exactly how it works, but it seems fairly intuitive.
